The Saint Kenelm Pilgrimage Society
Reg Charity: 1204853
Where the Pilgrimage is:
The Pilgrimage will be held at the church of St Peter, Winchcombe, sat nav: GL54 5LU.
What to expect:
A Mass for Saint Kenelem will be held according to the rubrics as laid down in the 14th century, this rare sight is a glimpse of Anglo Saxon worship as laid down in the Winchcombe Sacramentary. This particular service has not been seen or experienced since the end of the original Pilgrimage in the 16th century. This is followed by Sprinkling of the holy water from the well of Saint Kenelm, laying on of hands for healing etc, this service which is similar to that of the Walsingham shrine shall be of great benefit to those in need of healing and of prayer.
Afterwards an opportunity to hike to the well will be offered, though part of the Pilgrimage, it is not a requirement that you attend.
